Archaeology of Egypt, Sudan and the Levant (AESL)

The series “Archaeology of Egypt, Sudan and the Levant”, newly founded in 2019, is edited by Bettina Bader, Julia Budka and Felix Höflmayer and is supervised editorially by the Department of Prehistory & West Asian/Northeast African Archaeology of the Austrian Archaeological Institute. The series is dedicated to the results of archaeological research in the Levant as well as Egypt and Sudan. A special focus of the content is the manifold cultural, historical-political and economic connections between the inhabitants of these regions.

The series “Archaeology of Egypt, Sudan and the Levant” publishes archaeological studies that focus in particular on new results from field archaeology, material, cultural and theoretical studies, but also interdisciplinary works with a connection to the regions of the Levant, Egypt and Sudan.
