Maria-Katharina Lang specialises in Mongolian Studies and artistic-scientific research, and has directed several projects in cooperation with research partners in Mongolia, including Dispersed & Connected: Artistic Fragments along the Steppe and Silk Roads, Nomadic Artefacts, and Mongolian Ethnographica in European Museums. She has lately curated exhibitions such as Dust & Silk and Multiverse (https://dispersedandconnected.net). Her research areas include the Steppe and Silk Roads, Artefact Transfers, Transformation Processes, Museum and Collection Histories, and the Anthropology of Art.
