is Professor of Musicology at the Karlsruhe University of Music

Thomas Seedorf, born in Bremerhaven in 1960, initially studied school music and German language and literature in Hanover. This was followed by postgraduate studies in musicology and music education at the University of Music and Drama there, which he completed in 1988 with a dissertation on the compositional reception of Mozart in the early 20th century. From 1988 to 2006 he worked as a research assistant at the Musicology Department of the University of Freiburg, and since the winter semester 2006/07 he has been Professor of Musicology at the Karlsruhe University of Music.
