Pamela Rose

Pamela Rose is senior researcher at the Cairo Branch of the Austrian Archaeological Institute at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. She completed her doctorate at the University of Cambridge, since which time she has undertaken a wide range of archaeological fieldwork in Egypt and Sudan, including directing excavations at Qasr Ibrim and Hisn al-Bab. She is currently deputy director of the Kom Ombo archaeological project. Her particular research interests are Nubian archaeology, the archaeology of fortresses, and the ceramics of Egypt and Nubia.
