Der vorliegende vierte Faszikel des CSIR Österreich IV behandelt die aus dem Territorium des municipium Flavia Solva stammenden Grabbauten bzw. den ersten Teil der Grabbaureliefs, womit auch in diesem Faszikel das bisher beachtete Prinzip einer Gliederung nach Materialgattungen beibehalten wurde. Allerdings wurden die hier behandelten Grabbaureliefs wegen der Fülle des überlieferten Materials auf zwei Faszikel verteilt, von denen der vorliegende zwei und mehr Grabbaureliefs von ein und demselben Grabbau behandelt sowie die Reliefs von Dienerinnen und Dienern, die dionysischen Reliefs, Reliefs mit Jünglingsfiguren (Heroenreliefs) und Reliefs mit Herakles (Hercules). Neben der typologischen Gliederung der Grabbauten wurde eine thematische vorgenommen, die im folgenden Faszikel IV 5 bei den Grabbaureliefs mit mythologischen Darstellungen fortgesetzt werden soll. 

 This fourth fascicle of the CSIR Austria IV deals with the grave structures originating from the territory of the municipium of Flavia Solva and the first part of the grave reliefs respectively, whereby in this fascicle the principle of classification according to types of material - CSIR IV 1, the sculptures in round, CSIR IV 2 - The portrait medallions and portrait niches, and CSIR IV 3 The grave stelae and altars of the urban area of Flavia Solva - was retained. However, due to the abundance of the material passed down, the grave building reliefs dealt with here, were divided into two fascicles, of which the present one treats two and more grave building reliefs of one and the same grave structure, as well as the reliefs of servants, the Dionysian reliefs, reliefs with youth figures (heroic reliefs) and reliefs with Heracles (Hercules). In addition to the typological structure of the grave structures, a thematic one was followed which is described in the following fascicle IV 5 in the grave building reliefs with mythological representations.

Der vorliegende Faszikel des CSIR behandelt die Grabstelen und Grabaltäre aus dem Stadtgebiet von Flavia Solva (CSIR IV 3). Es geht dabei zunächst um allgemeine Fragen wie die Grenzen des Territoriums von Flavia Solva und die Fundorte sowie das Material der Grabstelen und der Grabaltäre. Weitere Grundsatzfragen werden in den Kapiteln zu der Typologie und Ikonographie der Grabstelen bzw. der Grabaltäre behandelt sowie in dem Überblick über die in den Inschriften genannten Personen und deren Status, für den Ingrid Weber-Hiden verantwortlich zeichnet. Sie hat auch im Katalog der Grabstelen und Grabaltäre die epigraphischen Fragen bearbeitet. Der Katalog ist nach formalen Gesichtspunkten gegliedert, da eine chronologische Ordnung schwerfällt. Die Arbeit wird durch ein Sachregister, einen Namensindex, ein Register der Fundorte und der Denkmalformen sowie ein Register der Museen und übrigen Verwahrorte abgeschlossen.

 The present fascicle of the CSIR treats the grave stelai and grave altars from the city of Flavia Solva in Noricum (CSIR IV 3). Besides, it is first about general questions like the borders of the territory of Flavia Solva and the finding places as well as the material of the grave stelai and the grave altars. Other principle questions are treated in the chapters on typology and iconography of the grave stelai and the grave altars as well as in the overview about the people mentioned on the inscriptions and their status, for which Ingrid Weber-Hiden is responsible. She has also worked in the catalogue of the grave stelai and grave altars on the epigraphic questions. The catalogue is organised according to formal points of view, because a chronological order is difficult. The work is concluded by a general register, an index of names, a register of the finding places and the forms of monuments as well as a register of museums and other depositaries.
