Bernd Müller-Neuhof, born 1967 in Frankfurt. Studied Near Eastern Archaeology, Assyriology and Prehistory at the Freie Universität Berlin. 2005 PhD at the Freie Universität Berlin (“On the Potential Use of Archaeological Sources in Conflict Research: A Study on Conflicts in the Neolithic of the Near East”). 2017 habilitation (cumulative) at the Freie Universität Berlin. Since 1999 appointments at the German Protestant Institute for Archaeology in Amman, the German Archaeological Institute, Berlin, the Museum of the Ancient Near East, Berlin, and since 2010 again the German Archaeological Institute, Berlin. 2017 DAI/AIA research fellow at the Cotsen Institute at UCLA. Research interests: landscape archaeology, neolithization, lithic technology, irrigation technologies, conflicts and warfare in prehistoric societies.
