Elisa Martini
is a Research Associate at the Galleria Borghese
Elisa Martini earned a PhD in Early Modern Art History from the University of Ferrara (advisor: Francesca Cappelletti; co-advisor: Gianluca Forgione), with a dissertation on Filippo Lauri and decorative painting in Rome in the second half of the seventeenth century. She has collaborated with institutions such as the Vatican Museums, the Gallerie Nazionali d'Arte Antica Barberini–Corsini, and the Galleria Colonna, and has been a research fellow of the Fondazione Ermitage Italia, the Dutch Institute for Art History (NIKI) in Florence, the Francis Haskell Memorial Fund, and the Fondazione di Studi di Storia dell’Arte Roberto Longhi. She is currently a research associate at the Galleria Borghese, where she is involved in scientific projects and communications. Her research primarily focuses on the visual arts of the 17th and 18th centuries, with a particular emphasis on painting.
