Sabina Cveček
is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Austrian Archaeological Institute at the Austrian Academy of Sciences
Sabina Cveček studied socio-cultural anthropology at the University of Ljubljana and Vienna. For her doctoral thesis at the Department for Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna, Sabina received a sowi:doc Award 2021. Her book titled "Çukuriçi Höyük 4: Household Economics in the Early Bronze Age Aegean" is a revised version of her doctoral thesis (adviser: Prof. Dr. Andre Gingrich). Sabina was a DOC-team fellow of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (2016–2020), visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, and the IFK_Junior Fellow. Currently, she is a a postdoctoral resarcher at the Austrian Archaeological Institute, Department for Prehistoriy and WANA Archaeology, and an elected Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute (since 2022). Research focus: historical anthropology, Early Bronze Age Aegean, households and social organization.
