This next volume of the series Relation is devoted to the specific structures of the Austrian media landscape in the context of global changes in media systems. It aims to investigate the far-reaching structural changes within different media segments (press, broadcasting, and the Internet). The articles analyse the strategies of press and broadcasting companies, journalists, and media policy protagonists, and also assess how media recipients are responding to these changes. In addition, they examine both the prospects and risks for the future of the Austrian media system as a result of these developments.
Relation is a peer-reviewed book series that intends to advance the study of the multi-faceted relationships between media and society by emphasizing the comparative dimensions of such research. Monographs, collections of articles, conference proceedings, and edited source material are being published in this series.
