Johann Radon

Johann Radon
Gesammelte Abhandlungen Band 1+2
1. Auflage, 1987
Mathematics in Austria reached its highest degree of achievement soon after the founding of the University of Vienna, namely the 15th century, and then again in the 20th century when Johann Radon was one of its most prominent representatives. His work is still relevant, though some of his papers are not easily accessible. The centennial of his birth offers a welcome opportunity to publish his collected papers. To facilitate the usability of this edition, Radon's papers are grouped by subject areas and are accompanied by extensive commentaries. For those with a historical inclination, personal reminiscences and a short biography of Radon are also included.
