Geschichte Waṣṣāf´s, Band 4
Deutsch übersetzt von Hammer-Purgstall
1. Auflage, 2012
The present volume is the fourth of five parts of Waṣṣāf’s History (Tārīḫ-i Waṣṣāf) in the German translation by the Austrian orientalist Joseph von Hammer-Purgstall (1774–1856). The author of this important piece of Persian historiography, Šaraf ad-Dīn ʿAbd Allāh b. Faḍl Allāh Waṣṣāf from Shiraz, describes the history of his home province Fars in the Mongol period in Iran including the history of neighbouring dynasties. The fourth volume of Waṣṣāf’s History covers the end of the reign of Ġāzān Ḫān (1295–1304) and the reign of his brother and successor Ölğaitū (1304–1316). The last third of this volume is devoted to the description of the successors of Dschingis Chan in Transoxania.
