Die Cortinariaceae Österreichs

Die Cortinariaceae Österreichs
Cat. Flor. Austriae, III. Teil, Pilze: Heft 2, Agaricales: Cortinariaceae
1. Auflage, 2002
This publication attempts to summarize the floristic data from Austria for the Agricales family Cortinariaceae. The taxonomy of genera and subgenera follows the current concepts. The system of Cortinariaceae will undergo several changes in the next future, mainly due to new information from molecular investigations. For the genus Cortinarius 353 species are included, most of these belong to the subgenera Phlegmacium (135) and Telamonia (126). The genus Inocybe with 140 species also is a very diverse group in Austria, followed by Galerina with 51 and Hebeloma with 46 species. All other genera are of secondary importance. The actual number of taxa will be distinctly higher, as uncertain records and determinations have been omitted in most cases. The floristic information was supplemented by ecological data as far as possible. A small number of species (48) is illustrated by colour photographs.
