Giorgos Toufexis
is Head of the Department of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities and Museums of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Larissa
Giorgos Toufexis studied archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He obtained his master’s degree in prehistory at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and his Ph.D. in prehistory at the University of Thessaly, Greece. He has carried out several surveys and excavations at Neolithic and Bronze Age sites, mainly in Eastern Thessaly, Greece. He is vice-director of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Larissa (Ministry of Culture and Sports, Greece) and has been a member of the Museological Committee of the Diachronic Museum of Larissa and curator of several temporary exhibitions at this museum.
