Ali Soliman
is Professor for Palynology at the Geology Department of Tanta University in Egypt
Ali Soliman, born 8. 2. 1973 in Bashbish-Gharbia (Egypt), earned his Bachelor (1995) and Master (2000) degrees from Tanta University where he was employed as Assistant lecturer. He accomplished his Ph.D. studies at the University of Graz (2002-2006) on Miocene dinoflagellates from the Gulf of Suez. Between 2006 – 2012 he held a post-doctoral position at the Institute of Earth Sciences at the University of Graz employed by the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Austrian Science Fund. In 2019 he became Professor for Palynology at the Tanta University. His research deals mostly with Cenozoic dinoflagellate cysts.
