Kalliope Sarri

Kalliope Sarri
is Guest Researcher at the Centre for Textile Research, University of Copenhagen
Kalliope Sarri is a prehistoric archaeologist, specialised in the Aegean prehistory. She has studied history and archaeology at the Kapodistrian University of Athens and accomplished her PhD thesis at the Institute of Prehistory and Early History at the University of Heidelberg. Her main research interests include pottery studies, architecture, burial customs, landscape archaeology and textile archaeology. She has published a monograph on the Middle Bronze Age at the Boeotian site of Orchomenos, Greece, and papers on the prehistoric pottery from various sites and regions of Central Greece as well as on diverse topics concerning prehistoric textiles. In the last years she has started a project on Neolithic Textile Industries at the Centre for Textile Research, University of Copenhagen as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow. She is independent scholar and guest researcher at the Centre for Textile Research, University of Copenhagen.
