Bogdana Milić
is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Spanish National Research Council and the PI of the ARROWFUNC project funded by the FWF
Bogdana Milić, born in 1988 in Smederevo, Serbia studied prehistoric archaeology in Belgrade, Heidelberg and Tübingen, where she completed her PhD in 2018. She was employed as a Pre-Doc and Postdoctoral researcher in Istanbul (2013-2015, 2021), Vienna (2015-2020), and Barcelona (2021-ongoing) on different projects funded by the European Commission, the Austrian Science Fund, Austrian Academy of Sciences, and Turkish Government. She has been conducting fieldwork and was employed as the lithic analyst on a number of archaeological sites and materials from Turkey, Greece, Serbia, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, and Romania. Her research deals with the investigation of the Neolithisation processes from the perspective of production and use of chipped stones, with the particular interest on technology, spread of innovations, mobility and migrations, and obsidian networks between SW Asia and SE Europe.
