Igor Maver is a Professor of English and American Literature in the Department of English at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. He is Chair of Literatures in English and Coordinator of the interdisciplinary doctoral programme in American Studies. He is an associate member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts and Editor-in-Chief of the scholarly journal "Acta neophilologica". He has taught and published extensively on the various aspects of literatures in English, at the University of Ljubljana, University of Vienna, University of California at Davis, and other universities abroad: post-colonial literatures in English, transnational fiction in English, Australian and Canadian literatures, and interdisciplinary American studies.
