Karin Kopetzky

is an Egyptologist at the Institute for Oriental and European Archaeology at the Austrian Academy of Sciences

Karin Kopetzky earned her doctoral degree in Egyptology at the University of Vienna. Before going to Harvard as an MSCA Fellow, she was a member of the SFB project SCIEM 2000 at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, where she is employed since 2005. Karin is a specialist in Egyptian and Near Eastern material culture and funerary traditions. In the last years she was involved in the archiving project "A puzzle in 4D" at the Institute for Oriental and European Archaeology. Currently she is co-director of the FWF funded Chekka Regional Project in Lebanon.
