Mehmet Emir
is a technical specialist at the Institute for Social Anthropology and at the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities at the Austrian Academy of Sciences
Mehmet Emir is a technical collaborator for digitization at the Austrian Center for Digital Humanities- Cultural Heritage, at the Institute for Social Anthropology and at BA:SIS (Austrian Academy of Sciences). He studied contextual painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with a focus on photography and he works in multimedia. Mehmet Emir's works have been shown in exhibitions in London, New York, Istanbul and Vienna. He is also a columnist for the weekly newspaper Augustin and a musician. The photo book “Zımeq 1983–2019. Fotografien aus meiner kurdischen Heimat” will be published in 2025.
