Vesta Sarkhosh Curtis
is Curator of Middle Eastern Coins at the British Museum
Vesta Sarkhosh Curtis was born in Tehran and studied Ancient Iranian Languages and Near Eastern Archaeology at the University of Göttingen, Germany. She obtained her PhD on Parthian Art from the University of London (UCL). Since 2003, she has been Curator of Middle Eastern Coins at the British Museum. Vesta Sarkhosh Curtis is Joint Director of the Sylloge Nummorum Parthicorum (SNP) and Director of the British Institute of Persian Studies. Research interests: Royal and religious iconography of ancient Iran, Coinage of ancient Iran.
