Dana Brostowsky Gilboa is an independent scholar, specializing in Islamic Art. During the work on this volume, she was a member of the research group "Picture Power" at Scholion Research Center for interdisciplinary research in Jewish Studies and Humanities, and a PhD student at the Department of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Subject of PhD thesis: Visual Representations of Kingship in Early Islamic Art).
