Jens W. Borgland, born 1983, is a historian of religion and philologist with a general interest in Indian religions and Buddhism specifically. His main research interest is vinaya. Following the completion of his PhD at the University of Oslo (2014), he was 2016 Robert H. N Ho Family Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in Buddhist Studies at McMaster University and has been Associate Professor of History of Religions at Uppsala University since 2019.
