Presentation Climate Status Report
17. Juni 2025

The Second Austrian Assessment Report on Climate Change is currently the largest and most important interdisciplinary analysis of the consequences of climate change and presentation of options for action in Austria. The report provides a comprehensive scientific analysis of climate change.

More than 200 scientists at more than 50 institutions and over 100 external experts compiled findings from around 5,000 studies over a period of three years. The report shows scope for action, but does not make any recommendations for or against specific individual measures. Instead, the report identifies risks, opportunities, obstacles, trade-offs and synergies between climate change mitigation, adaptation and other societal priorities such as achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The report was written in English, the summaries were translated into German.
