International Forum on Audiovisual Research / Jahrbuch des Phonogrammarchivs

On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Phonogrammarchiv, Rudolf M. Brandl, the director of the Phonogrammarchiv at the time, decided to publish a collective publication to be issued periodically, namely the “Jahrbuch des Phonogrammarchiv”, which appeared for the first time in 2010. In terms of content, it includes articles on technology, recording techniques, long-term storage or re-recording and also on the evaluation of the content of collections and discussions on field research methods. In keeping with the Phonogrammarchiv’s international networking, the Jahrbuch thus also provides a platform for an exchange of ideas on these topics between international specialists. The articles are written by staff at the Phonogrammarchiv as well as partners in collaborations (depositees) and international researchers who have established contact with the Phonogrammarchiv.
