Festive event to mark the 80th birthday of Dr Peter Soustal

In April 2025, Byzantinist Dr. Peter Soustal celebrated his 80th birthday. From 2006 to 2012, he was director of the Institute for Byzantine Research, the predecessor institution of the Department of Byzantine Research (ABF) at the Institute for Medieval Studies (IMAFO).
 
A festive event will be held in his honor on Monday, May 26, starting at 17:30, in the PSK (Georg-Coch-Platz 2, 1010 Vienna), 3rd floor (BR 1).
 
The keynote speaker will be Ms. Angeliki Delikari, Professor at the University of Thessaloniki and Member of the Greek Parliament.
