The exhibition at the MAMUZ Museum Mistelbach will take place from March 15 to November 30, 2025. Visitors are invited to take a journey to the origins of modern humans in Central Europe. These date back around 40,000 years to the Ice Age (2.8 million to 11,700 BC), when Homo sapiens roamed the vast steppes as nomadic hunters, always following the herds of mammoths, horses and reindeer. The exhibition presents a variety of archaeological finds, reconstructions of clothing, weapons and tools, an Ice Age camp and a diverse animal world. For young visitors, there are interactive experience stations, a life-size mammoth and an exciting puzzle booklet, making the exhibition an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
