Danielle Ross
is an Associate Professor at Utah State University
Danielle Ross received her PhD in Central Asian History at University of Wisconsin-Madison. She taught at Nazarbayev University for three years and is currently an Associate Professor at Utah State University, where she teaches Islamic Studies and Russian history. She researches and writes on the history of the Muslims Russia’s Volga-Ural region and the Kazakh Steppe. She is the author of the monograph “Tatar Empire: Kazan’s Muslims and the Making of Imperial Russia.”
