Jaroslava Hausenblasová
is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Czech History, Faculty of Arts of Charles University of Prague
Jaroslava Hausenblasová was born in 1957 in Prague. She studied history and ancillary historical disciplines at Charles University’s Faculty of Arts in Prague; her PhD thesis was titled ‘Der Hof Kaiser Rudolfs II.’ (published in 2002). Between 1987 and 2005 she was a researcher at the Institute of Art History of the Czech Academy of Sciences; between 2005 and 2011 she was a member of Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) in Leipzig. Since 2013 she has been the head of research projects at the Institute of Czech History, Charles University of Prague. Her main areas of research are the social, cultural and administrative history of the early modern era in the Czech lands and Central Europe, and the history of the towns, residences and courts of the Habsburgs. She cooperated on the exhibitions ‘Rudolf II. and Prague’ (1997) and ‘Ferdinand II’ (Innsbruck – Prague 2017).
