Aleksandar Bulatović
is Full Research Professor at the Institute of Archaeology, Belgrade
Aleksandar Bulatović was born in 1970 in Travnik, Yugoslavia. He finished his basic study of Archaeology in 1996. From 1996 to 2006 he was Curator of the prehistoric collection at the National Museum in Vranje. In 2008 he defended his doctoral thesis "Genesis and development of the Bronze Age in the Južna Morava basin and Pčinja valley". Since 2006 he is Researcher at the Institute of Archaeology, Belgrade, working on the material and spiritual culture of the Metal Ages in the Central Balkans. He conducts several research projects such as "Prehistoric landscapes of the Pusta Reka region (Leskovac)" (since 2017, together with Prof. Barbara Horejs, Institute for Oriental and European Archaeology, Vienna); “Researching of the multilayered site of Velika Humska Čuka near Niš” (since 2014); and the “Jadar project” (2011–2019, together with Prof. Arthur Bankoff, Brooklyn College, New York).
