As was already pointed out in the introduction to Oskar Pausch’s edition of the Habsburg Vocabulary of the Middle Ages (Imperator-Kaiser-Cyesars. Die dreisprachigen Vokabulare für Ladislaus Postumus und Maximilian I., Vienna 2004), a text edition of the manuscript CVP 2598, held by the Austrian National Library, should rightfully also have been included. The provenance of this manuscript certainly places it within this framework, and it also most probably served tutorial purposes for the Habsburg princes. The main goal of the present volume is to provide a basis for further linguisticlexicographical and interdisciplinary research by roughly classifying the text and presenting a reliable edition with a “free” commentary.
