Österreichisches Biographisches Lexikon 1815‒1950
Band XIII: Spanner Anton Carl - Stulli Gioachino (Lieferung 59‒62)
1. Auflage, 2010
The „Österreichische Biographische Lexikon 1815-1950“ (Austrian Biographical Dictionary) covers persons who were born, lived or worked in the Austrian national territory at the time and died between 1815 and 1950. These persons excelled through extraordinary achievements in a variety of fields such as politics, administration, science or art or are worthy of mention for other reasons. The biographies have been researched locally by staff in Austria and abroad. This volume includes persons who either were born, lived or worked in Austrian states of the time and who died between 1815 and 1950. They distinguished themselves for reasons of extraordinary achievement in politics, science or art. Research for the biographies was conducted in Austria and Germany, but also locally in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy. The entire lexicon is planned to comprise 15 volumes.

Austrian Biographical Lexicon - Online Edition

The Österreichisches Biographisches Lexikon has been published in printed editions since the 1950s. These were digitalised, and an XML index and a dictionary workspace were created. The project was then expanded by converting the texts to XML, linking them, and adding several other types of media. The Österreichisches Bibliographisches Lexikon has integrated GDN and is linked to the European biography portal www.biographie-portal.eu and the Picture Archive of the Austrian National Library.
