This volume is the second of the five volumes of the History of Waṣṣāf (Tārīḫ-i Waṣṣāf) in the German Translation by the Austrian orientalist Joseph von Hammer-Purgstall (1774-1856). The second part of his chronicle contains the history of the Salghurid atabegs of the Province of Fars from its origins until its end with the death of Ābiš (Ibisch) Ḫātūn (685/1286). This is followed by a description of the rule of Arġūn Ḫān (683–690/1284–1291), as well as the history of the atabegs of Lor, Yūsufšāh and his son Afrāsiāb I (executed 695/1296).
