The Austrian Lexicon of Music is being prepared in 5 volumes by the Commission for Music Research of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and is planned to be a work of reference for the whole field of Austrian music. Its entries of persons, places and topics provide all the essential information for both academic and for practical use.
