General Business Terms and Conditions
- Orders: Until order processing, conditions of delivery and prices are subject to change.
- Shipping: Title to, and all risk of loss shall pass to buyer at the point of shipment. Orders will be shipped by mail or freight service. The Press shall not be responsible for loss or damage occurring during transport, however may be willing to advance its own claims to a third party. Damage resulting from transport shall be reported by the buyer immediately upon receipt.
- Claims: Claims must be received in writing immediately after the receipt of the goods to which the claim relates.
- Conditional sale: The delivered goods remain the property of the Austrian Academy of Sciences Press until payment in full.
- Payment: The invoice total is inclusive of 10% VAT (Austria) for books and 20% for LPs, CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs and Online access. It is due and payable in the currency in which the invoice is presented within the period noted on the invoice, measured from the date of the invoice.
- Place of execution and jurisdiction is for both parties Vienna. The provisions of Austrian Law shall apply. Contract language: German.
- General: In the event that one of the above provisions should become invalid either in whole or in part, this shall not invalidate the remaining provisions. We bring to your attention that a computer record of the order data will be made by the Austrian Academy of Sciences Press and may be passed on to other sections of the Austrian Academy of Sciences for commercial purposes and shall be subject to the Republic of Austria's and/or the European Union's registration obligations. No specific notification of storage or transmission of the data shall be issued.
- Withdrawal: Withdrawal from the purchase shall be possible within 7 working days of the date the order is placed.
