The present volume is the first part of a two-part project whose aim is to present an analytical study of the typology of the reverses of Imperial Roman minting from Augustus up to the middle of the third century. This first volume only presents the single-figure (with a few exceptions) female numina.
The town and country personifications not taken into account here will be included in a second volume, which also is to include male numina, emperors, living and non-living things. The work is divided into a description, annotated register, tables and illustrations.
